Steve Jobs plans for cloud... 14 years ago

A video reveals that Steve Jobs was already looking to the cloud 14 years ago.

‘Innovator’, ‘revolutionary’, ‘visionary’ – all terms that have been used to describe the late great Steve Jobs. But a video has surfaced from the murky depths of the archives which serves to illustrate just how far ahead of the curve the Apple co-founder truly was.

While cloud computing is often considered to be the latest big thing in the IT industry, a means of dramatically improving business processes, creating a more efficient and dynamic workforce and of saving operation costs, Jobs shows in this video that it was a movement he was aware of and planning towards all the way back in 1997.

Earlier this year Apple introduced the iCloud to realise Jobs’ vision of utilising a remote, centralised server to access all your personal, business and private information from anywhere and from any computer. This video shows that it was clearly the brainchild of Jobs that had been developing for over a decade before it was finally realised.
