The Big Data Insight Group, the newly launched sister community to The Cloud Circle, continues to grow apace.
Since its launch last week, the UK’s first independent big data-focussed community has already garnered over 400 members.
An impressive name-call of companies that are represented within the community so far reads like a who’s who of British business. We are proud to welcome the following organisations as the latest registrants: MTV, BP, Flybmi, Ministry of Justice, News International, Twinings, Virgin Media and Aviva.
They join the likes of British Airways, Tesco, O2, BBC, NHS, Transport for London, AXA, HSBC, Rolls Royce, Ticketmaster, Home Office, John Lewis, Endsleigh Insurance, PepsiCo, GSK, TNT, Vodafone, Nokia and Institute of Cancer Research who are already signed up.
Big data is the tools and processes involved in gaining intelligent insight form extremely large or complex data sets. Analysts predict it will surge in the priority lists for all manner of businesses during 2012. For more information on what it involves or how you can benefit, click here to read our Cloud Notes overview.
Plans for the Big Data Insight Group’s inaugural event are progressing rapidly. On February 23 the community will be hosting the Big Data Think Tank where we will be addressing:
• How to monetise big data;
• How to use big data to gain true customer and market insight;
• How to build a strong business case for big data
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with big data suppliers and network with peers.
